Scheme is run by Just A Card, inspired by distressed shop
owner’s tale in the Guardian

The tale of a distressed shopkeeeper in the What I’m Really
Thinking column in the Guardian has mushroomed into a nationwide
initiative helping 10,000 independent retailers fight for
survival.

The Just A Card campaign was started by London-based artist
Sarah Hamilton three years ago after she read a
mournful first person account
of the owner of an arts and
crafts shop facing closure.
